Yes you can do it through Active directory Users and Computers.
Select the distribution group, go to properties and select Hide from
address book.

        Hi all.

I'm using Exchange2000 with SP2 in an all W2K domain
I would like to have certain email adresses hidden from the
global
Adress list. Is there anyway of doing this. We have several
Distribution
groups that are only for a few special mails, and these are
clustering
up out global adress list that you get in Outlook if your
connected to
an exchange server, wenn you write a new mail and click on the
"To..."
        button.

Can anyone help me on this?

        Thanks
