http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Depending on how you broke it, it seems like you may have been messing with perm isues? First try recreating the OMA virtual directory. To recreate IIS virtual directories (just recreate the OMA) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=883380 -----Original Message----- From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Russ Clark Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 9:45 AM To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] Configuration settings on Exchange virtual directories http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Just last week this article was posted on msexchange.org and one of the last things it mentions is to allow Anonymous access to the ExchWeb virtual directory. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Fixing-Damaged-Incorrectly-Configure d-OWA-2003-Installation.html Also last week Jason Langridge posted a document on configuring Exchange SP2 with MSFP and on page 27 & 28 it shows that Anonymous access should not be enabled. http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan/archive/2006/03/17/553951.aspx So which one am I to follow? I am running a single Exchange 2003 SP2 server (on a fully patch W2K3 server) with Active-sync DirectPush, OWA, & RPC/HTTPS all working. I just recently got all the settings fixed to allow DirectPush and to login with just the domain user name (not whole email address) via OWA, but OMA was only allowing you to log in with your email address. In the process of trying to allow logging into OMA with just a username, I broke OMA where it won't even work now. It prompts for login credentials, but after a couple of attempts I get a system error (via browser window). I haven't been too concerned about this as the important stuff works, but I am still looking to get OMA to work as it comes in handy in a pinch.
