http://www.msexchange.org ------------------------------------------------------- If you're sure the IP address is being resolved incorrectly, why not just fix the DNS problem? Or, your proposed solution is possible with a separate SMTP connector. -----Original Message----- From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jeffrey Robillard Sent: Friday, June 30, 2006 8:54 AM To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] Communication between exchange and non-exchange mail server I have an IIS SMTP server setup on a machine as a listserv that can email my exchange server perfectly. However, I am unable from exchange send any email back to the IIS SMTP Listserv. I know the ListServ can receive mail. The issue, I am pretty sure, is that they are both behind a firewall with NAT. I believe the exchange server is resolving the ip address for the listserv as the external ip instead of the internal ip. Is there a way within exchange 2k that you can tell it ... All mail destined for domain @list.blah.com forward to internal ip 10.10.10.10? ------------------------------------------------------- List Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/exchangelist/ MSExchange Newsletter: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp MSExchange Articles and Tutorials: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/ MSExchange Blogs: http://blogs.msexchange.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe visit http://www.msexchange.org/pages/exchangelist.asp Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
