Hi Mike

Were the messages for the users mailboxes from another server in a different
Organisation by any chance? If you imported them to this server using exmerge
this is a known issue and there is no fix. I spoke to Microsoft PSS on
precisely that problem yesterday and this sounds very simlar to the problem I

Hope that helps.

Bye for now.

Paul Lemonidis.

Subject: [exchangelist] Can't send email to internal accounts

  Good morning.

We just set up a new Windows 2000/Exchange 2000 box with all patches and for
some reason when we type in the users name in the To: or CC:, it recognizes the
name but doesn't send unless we manually go into the Global address list and
pick the users. This doesn't happen with all user accounts in the Global
Address, just some.

Example, if it type in John in the TO: it recognizes John Doe, but when I go
to send the email, it comes back undeliverable. If I go to the Global Address
list, pick John Doe and sends find.
