Can't send email between the domain

We have 2 domain in our network. one for customer and one for US. We can't
send email to customer domain. Customer can send email to US. IS anybody
the idea of how to resolve the issued ?
The domian name you can assume are xyzcustmail.com and abcus.com
Both servers are active directory integrated windows 2000. Both have
exchange 2000.
