Can not send or receive external mails from my local exchange server

Hello,
I have just installed exchange server on experiment basis.My exchange server
works very good for local mails.
I have exchange server running with @localdomain.com and I dont have real IP
but full time internet connection from proxy server.
I have one domain registered for the company and that is something like
@companydomain.com. Only one id info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is used by my company
and rest is used by sister concern.
How can I configure exchange server so users from local area network can send
their mails through my local exchange server and external id
info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and if anybody sends me mail with
<shriraj>info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx should deliver message to
shriraj@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I wish I can get some guide to configure something similar to I explained above
with my exchange server.
I tried with pop3 connectors but domains are different it didnot work.
