The problem with making the change manually is that you then have to wait
for that change to propagate throughout the Internet, which can cause
problems in a business environment. Dynamic DNS keeps track of your current
IP address and they reroute traffic in real time to the correct address.

I am doing the same. My ip does not change much. I had my domain host point
something like exchange.domain.com to my local address where I had my
exchange set up. When my ip changes I can go to my domain hosts site and
change the dns record myself.

Cable Internet DHCP

http://www.MSExchange.org/

I am looking to make a new Exchange Server to handle all my email that is
currently managed by my ISP via POP accounts. I do not have a static
public IP.

What is the best way to handle and route all mail to X@xxxxxxxxxx without
a static IP?
Is it possible to have an external SMTP server / sevice via ISP or other
source and have my Exchange Server connect to this server and pull in all
mail?

I currently have my domains website hosted via a service provider so I do
not want to modify my domains public IP and bring down my website.

Thank you for your suggestions in this matter.
