Think so that blocking at firewall is good.

        Right.  Blocking the IP address at the firewall would result in you 
offloading the processing burden from your server to the firewall.  Firewalls 
are typically well equipped to handle packet drops so it would make sense to do 
this at this level.  Note that you need to follow up with this as well to 
ensure that you are not blocking legitimate email at a future time.

            You should block not only the e-mail address.  But try and block 
using the network address 
        instead this is more granular.

        Hey there,

        My E2K server is getting spammed from the following IP 62.254.209.66 
and with a ton of messages . 
        As the subject on the spam is changing, would it be better to stop the 
IP at the FW, or continue to try to block the spammer via email?
        As well, is there a way to block the IP on the E2K server?
