http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------To stop the bleeding, and keep the mailbox (acct. A) so that it continues to accept e-mail, I would create another email account (acct. B) and set the problem mailbox (acct. A) to forward all mail to the new account (acct. B). This will at least stop the MB from growing and allow people to manage the new messages. Then use Exmerge to extract the data based on date ranges. This will most likely cut down on the size of the extracted data and at least give you access to portions of the data. It will take you a few Exmerge attempts, but eventually you should get a majority of the valid e-mails extracted. Good luck. We've got a client looking for assistance, and as it turns out they have a store of 180 GB and a single mailbox of just about 45 GIGS. Both far surpass anything I've seen, and I've worked with some big companies in the past, but no one else has come close. Needless to say, they're having problems, especially opening that mailbox. Anyone have any thoughts on a way to extract the data in there? We've tried Outlook, OWA, MDBView, Exmerge, IMAPping and POPping it off, but nothing seems able to get there. Mail does keep getting delivered, however, as it continues to grow. Ideas, no matter how screwy, are welcome.
