Best local backup tool?

On top of my tape backup, I'd like to save the Exchange files on a local
XP Embedded-based NAS (LaCie).
I wonder what would be the best tool to do that?
So far I have been using a synchronization tool called PeerSync, for
which we own a few licenses.
I wonder if this would be the best method for setting up a secondary
backup of all my files (including my Web sites, also on the same server
as Exchange).
