Backup Performance Question

Just curious what kinds of speeds people are seeing backing up the exchange
information store (not bricks level).
I am using Arcserve 2k with the Exchange Agent and getting about 400mb/s to
some older 35/70gb DLT drives.
Is that good, average, or could be better?
Looking at replacing the 35/70's with LTO-2 not just for more speed, but for
less tapes req.
