Greetings Mohammed,

You do realise not every user has the right to backup and restore. As best
practises, the same user isn't given the same permission to backup and
restore. There would be another user with restore only.

Subject: [exchangelist] Backup IDEA -1

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Dear All,

While I was making normal Backup for my exchange 2000, it came to my
mind good idea,

How can we Protect backup with Password, so no one can make restore without
enter valid Password.

I mean if you take Backup from all of your Documents in ( My Documents )
folder and it saved already on one of the Tape Drives with this name (
doc.bkf), what will happen if any one try to make restore to this backup ?
He will be able to restore it.

I want to make user name & Password to restore any thing.

The backup software is ( NTBACKUP ), which I am using it . is there any way
to do that ? or is there any other 3rd Party software to install it on my
server to provide us with this Idea ?

Best Regards,

Mohammed
