You can create a prf file for the users to run ... if you would like an example let me know. It can config the exchange server and username/mailbox settings, autoarchive locations, etc.

Thanks
Dave

Hi,

You can run a exicutable file which will create the mail profile for the
user.
you can try using Mapigen.exe ( free download from
http://www.xirvsoftware.com/corporate.html )

That you can run using Group policy ( logon script) with the appropriate
switch.

Mapigen.exe profilename %Username% Domainname

This will automatically configure your outlook client.

Take a look at the Office Resource Kit and "prfgen".

Personally, I think a tool like "richprofile" is much easier (free, google
for it).

Subject: [exchangelist] Automatic Outlook client configuration in Exchange
2003

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hello !

I have inherited an Exchange 2003 server, with the former admin leaving
and almost no docs to be found ...
Anyway, this is probably a very basic question, but I do not seem to be
able to find the right answer: is it possible to configure a new user in
Exchange 2003 so that when the user open his or her Outlook client,
everything is already preconfigured ? Is this possible at all ?
Many thanks in advance for your help, Ill get some more books as well...
