You have to add it as a checked recipient policy before Exchange will accept e-mail for the domain. ________________________________ From: Amy Kohler [mailto:akohler@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 26, 2005 12:26 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Allow incoming mail for an external domain http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hello all, I'm having a problem allowing users that used to receive email from a domain other than ours. For example: A few users need to be able to receive email from user@xxxxxxxxxxx as well as our email: user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx We are on Exchange 2000 with a Symantec Antivirus server in the DMZ and then comes through a GFI spam server and then to our internal exchange server. Right now I have added myname@xxxxxxxxxxx to my email addresses list for my myname@xxxxxxxxxxxxx account and I am getting unable to relay errors when I send an email to from my external charter account. Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: michael@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
