for a board meeting
Hi Everyone,
I'd like for us to meet ~7pm ish on the Tues or Wed before the club meeting
that week. (Thursday is an option too if the other days don't work).
I'll see if we can meet in the Library somewhere - give Claude a break from
hosting us all the time.
I'll put out a full set of topics when the meeting day gets closer, but for
openers, here are some broad items - surely not a complete list yet, but
something to start talking about.
- Treasurer's Budget proposal for 2017
o add a second savings acct so we don't have $25,000 sitting in the
savings acct.
o change over the paypal account to either a current member or a Club
account
o plan to figure out how to figure out how best to use the nest egg we've
acquired - survey other clubs who have raised money, etc. - Not meant to figure
out in this meeting what to do with the money, but just talk about how to go
about figuring it out.
- Add a FaceBook page for EVAC ?
- Add an EVAC-Forum ?
- offer reciprocal membership to ASU Astrodevils members - need a bylaw change?
- Bylaw modifications
o fix typos
o membership fees for 1st time members - get rid of penalty of joining
in Oct-Dec
o - etc - I'm compiling a list of a few other minor ones
- Conflict of interest vows - some have emailed already - is this necessary?
If you have topics you'd like discussed, please add them to this email - best
if club members begin thinking about the topics now instead of seeing them for
the first time at the meeting.
