Dear members of the Euralex list,
as the coordinator of ELEXIS (European Lexicographic Infrastructure) I would
like to invite representatives of institutions that work in the field of
lexicography to apply for observer status in the ELEXIS project. Also, I would
like to invite you to attend the ELEXIS observer event that will be held in
Vienna, Austria, on 18-19 February 2019. The agenda of the event is designed
specifically for existing and potential ELEXIS observer institutions. More
information about the event is available on the ELEXIS web site:
<https://www.elex.is/observer-event/> https://www.elex.is/observer-event/. ;
Participation is free of charge, registration is required, as the number of
participants is limited.
ELEXIS, a four-year project funded by the Horizon 2020 research programme, aims
to create a new European research infrastructure bringing together national
language institutes, universities, publishing houses and other stakeholders
working on dictionaries and lexical data for European and other languages. The
benefits of the observer status in ELEXIS include invitations to test newly
developed tools and services for lexicographers, access to customized
lexicographic data, latest information about project progress, notifications
about regular grant calls, and the opportunity to participate in post-project
developments. More information about the observer status is available on the
ELEXIS web page: <https://elex.is/join-as-observer/>
https://elex.is/join-as-observer/. A more comprehensive presentation of ELEXIS ;
is also available on Videolectures.net, recorded at the Euralex 2018 congress
in Ljubljana, Slovenia:
<http://videolectures.net/euralex2018_krek_lexicographic_infrastructure/>
http://videolectures.net/euralex2018_krek_lexicographic_infrastructure/. ;
I hope you will find the project interesting, and we will be able to welcome
you in Vienna in February 2019. If you have additional questions, contact me
via email, phone or any other communication means (see below).
Best wishes,
Simon Krek (ELEXIS coordinator)
