It should have given them a zero and cheat on their record, just like a kid
caught cheating on the written exam. In cases where there may be a few, it may
be worth, pretending, so the students won't warn their friends. And since the
teachers are supposed to give a list of topics/projects, the teachers should
also be reported. Like the bus driver caught with a non-paying passenger. We
have to be responsible.

Yes, officially they're not connected, so they shouldn't be combined. There
should be two separate grades for all purposes.
