I'd like to echo the words of Kara Aaron. I've been bothered for the last few days about so many comparisons of English teaching in Israel and in English speaking countries. I can understand that many teachers approve of how they learnt English in the countries from which they emgirated. It don't believe that the comparison can lead us anywhere. As Kara indicated, it doesn't make sense to compare two such different situations. English in Israel is definitely a foreign language.
