It depends on the questions you ask. If you ask questions which can be answered by simply copying a line of the poem, it doesn't make sense to include it on the exam. If you ask questions which demand interpreting, or even writing in different words to show basic understanding, the poem can appear on your exam. In the national exam, lines are quoted for certain questions where interpretation was required, but none where memory was the issue.
