Shalom Leah ( I am replying to you but in actual fact to all those in the
profession who have similar problems)

I recommend that before you start any course at a college, you determine
what the requirements are for you to be certified. There are certain courses
that a teacher has taken in the past at a recognized university/college for
which they will be credited.

I highly recommend thay you contact your Regional English Inspector who will
guide you as to what procedures you need to go through. The English
Inspectorate is TEACHER FRIENDLY and has your interests at heart.

Learning vocabulary connected to our profession is not sufficient. As
strange as this may sound, English teachers need to be able to CONVERSE in
Hebrew in general.

I did not miss the point and believe me do understand and feel for what Olim
teachers need to go through. Yes, it is part of the system and like it or
not we as good citizens must abide by the laws and regulations.

Wishing all Shavua Tov and all the best

avi
