I debated long and hard whether to respond to this email. In the end I 
decided that maybe we're all sick of HOTs and something fresh would be a 
good idea!

So here goes...

I personally was offended by the message that Tommy Sands "will be touring 
in Israel and Palestine...". As far as I know, there is no such entity 
called Palestine. Maybe Laurie meant the "Palestinian Authority", which is 
not the same thing. I am deliberately refraining from stating my political 
views on the subject, and I strongly object to ETNI being used to make 
political statements, even if they seem innocuous.

ETNI has always been apolitical, as far as possible, and I think that it 
should stay that way.

I have the utmost respect for Laurie as an educator, and don't mean to 
attack her, or her views, but politics should not be a part of our 
correspondence here.
