Dear Readers, just a little poem about a timeworn subject, to read on the way to Winter Etai. Barry S The READ Not Taken, by Frostie the Snowman Two sides took sides in ESL And each wood chuck the other out I stood for it long as I could-- The issue if inspectors should inspect the rural undergrowth. Some felt that HOTS would just intrude And make the teachers insecure While others dazed by literature So many logs, can't see the wude. At first I spurned the visitors And chose to be autonomous Within my school I barred the doors And sided with 'Anonymous' Different roads of different sighs, My logs became a mighty jam My student's HOTS and thoughts ran deep I had time to regret that I had been as stubborn as I am But I will tell you this, two years From now their'll be a new program While I have promises to keep And HOTS will heat the compost heap. And piles of HOTS will heat the heap Copyright © 2011
