Hi Cearbhall.

Thanks for this. What a good idea. It occurs to me that there maybe
intereste from outside of Ireland too. Before I left Manchester, there was a
thriving Irish language class at the Manchester Irish Centre. There were 3
levels of classes for adults and they had just set one up for children. The
last I heard it was going very well. These people wouldn't necessarily be
vips but I'm sure some of themn might have an interest in the language and
technology. Also, I've passed your email on to my Irish teacher and the
Irish Officer at Mayo County Council.

Beir bua.

Damien.

Hello Robbie,

You are the first to arrive! There are eight members of this list so,
hopefully, the rest will come in over the next day or so.

I have set up a footer text that should automatically attach to the bottom
of each message. I see that you message does not have it. Do you know why
this is so?

All the best,

Cearbhall

Subject: [espeak-gaeilge] Re: Welcome to eSpeak-Gaeilge discussion list

Hi all,

Well done Cearbhall: excellent idea.

Of late I've been mostly limited to iPhone, but tomorrow, hopefully, I'll
have the time to access the dropbox from my pc, and so, upload mucho
data:-).

Pity that Irish isn't good with conventional screenreaders yet, but in the
meantime, there are sorta new languages, as you'll all know - irish as
spoken by various screen-readers. Unfortuneately, I still find myself
having to go through mails etc. letter by letter, and I can't reply on an
iPhone, because I don't know how to do a fada on it.

Very much looking forward to trying out espeak, and contributing as much as
I can.

'tis long overdue,

Is fada ár n-easpa,

Robbie
