Laboratory*
The Environmental Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory (
www.anl.gov) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to a project
investigating how soil moisture heterogeneity influences the exchange of
energy, water and carbon between terrestrial ecosystems and the
atmosphere. The successful candidate should have knowledge of terrestrial
ecology and ecosystem processes and a willingness to learn hydrology or
atmospheric processes OR knowledge of hydrology, surface atmospheric
processes and a willingness to learn terrestrial ecology and ecosystem
processes. Experience in working with large datasets and strong data
analysis skills, and knowledge of or interest in statistical methods and
/or familiarity with machine learning or information theory based
approaches.
