As you plan for the August ESA meeting, please consider attending a few of
the excellent contenders for the New Phytologist Best Graduate Student
Presentation award and providing your feedback. We have talks from
Wednesday to Friday (and especially need Friday judges), on topics from
leaf morphology and foliar chemistry to N fixation and disturbance
recovery. Please contact esabiogeoscience@xxxxxxxxx to access a calendar of
talks and select which ones you can attend.
Also, an interesting postdoc opportunity (not strictly biogeoscience) is
available at Colorado State University as part of the Adaptive Silviculture
for Climate Change project, a partnership between land managers and
scientists working to aid in forestry adaptation (details in Nagel et al.
2017, https://doi.org/10.5849/jof.16-039). Position details are here:
https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/57888. Review of applications starts
Have a good week.
