Learn New Skills When You 'Volunteer for Nature'

If protecting Ontario's natural places is on your mind, why not lend a hand?
Join Volunteer for Nature (VfN), the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and
Ontario Nature's (formerly Federation of Ontario Naturalists) hands-on
conservation volunteer program. Travel to, and learn about, a diversity of
habitats including tallgrass prairie, savanna and Great Lakes shoreline and
Carolinian forests. Spend your volunteer time outdoors, learning new skills,
alongside trained leaders while contributing to much needed conservation
projects including species monitoring, invasive species removal or boardwalk
and bridge building that will help minimize visitor impacts to sensitive areas.
Whether you are looking to volunteer for one day or for a week, VfN offers over
thirty conservation events throughout 2004, taking place across the province.
