These are a great set of lectures. I personally recommend them since I thought 
they were great last year.

ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRY LECTURE SERIES, FALL 2003

The Division of Environmental Engineering is once again sponsoring a set 
of 3 lectures as part of the Environmental Industry Lecture Series 
(EILS).   This series is now in its 4th year, and is a forum for 
students and staff to learn about environmental issues and the 
technologies being developed and applied to solve environmental 
problems.  Furthermore, it is a showcase for the exciting careers 
available in environmental industry.  The series is free and is open to 
all undergraduate and graduate students, and staff.

The lectures this Fall are as follows:

Friday October 31, 2003: Henry Hengeveld, M.Sc., Senior Science Advisor 
on Climate Change, Environment Canada  Topic: "The Science of Climate 
Change"

Friday November 21, 2003: Bruce Holbein, Ph.D., Eastern Power Ltd. 
Topic: "Bio-energy and Bio-products from Biomass: Large Potential for 
Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions"

Friday November 28, 2003: Tom Odell, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., Technology 
Planner, General Motors of Canada Ltd. Topic: "Emerging Automotive 
Technologies that are Helping to Address Environmental Issues".

All lectures are from 10 - 11am in Room 1105 ("blue room"), Sanford 
Fleming building, 10 King's College Road, University of Toronto.
