you are the first subscriber! Because of that, Néstor welcomes you
personally, by hand. You should get two copies of this message, one
for you and the other through the mailing list. This is not the normal
mailing-list behaviour, normally you should get only one reply through
the mailing list -then, public conversation- *or* directly to you
-then, private conversation-.

This is an exception to the rule: you get both, public and private.
Please, notice that some email client programs may join identical
messages without telling you, or may just discard one of them.

Of course, I don't know who you are. Remember that, to send messages
to the list, the thing is so simple as to send a normal, plain-text
-preferably not HTML- email to


IMPORTANT: Please, remember to use "Reply to All" instead of just
"Reply" to reply to the mailing list, and therefore to everyone in the
list. Use "Reply" to reply *only* to the one who sent the email to the

This is called "private vs public conversation", and in this case,
public conversation is supposed to be better than private. That way
-public- each person gets all the interesting emails if she wants, and
so, each one can help all the others. That renders reinventing the
wheel unnecesary.

Please, keep in mind this should be mainly to share information about
the subject, for all the classmates.
