As in the case of the viewer, copying isn't a particularly 'core' operation there, and users may benefit from a reminder that the functionality exists. But for the editor ? Copying is fundamental. Also, there's quite a bunch of things that could be put in an editor menu, and where would we stop? Also add cut? Paste? ....
