can emelfm2 copy and move files in the background?

hi list,

I wonder whether emelfm2 can send the copying and moving jobs to the
background and allow me to perform other actions.

When I copy some large files, emelfm2 appears frozen and I have to wait a
long time before it finishes copying.

So can the copy command indeed be aliased as cp& ?
