On our "Birdathon" outing today, John Koon first spotted a
*Scissor-tailed Flycatcher* in Mills River Park. I think
this is a first Henderson County record and maybe a forth
WNC record. The bird was seen at the back of the North
West fenced field, looking from the paved walking path
near the corner of parking lot.
(This is kind of like Kirk Gibson hitting a walk-off
homer in the world series.)
