A morning spent in the gamelands, saw temperatures move from the 60's to the 80's. After a week of clouds and rain, it was good to be out in the sun again. See below for Birds, Butterflies and also some Odes that revealed themselves. No Chats! and all the other warblers were not singing this morning. Maybe I need to get up earlier, or maybe the season is over. (Maybe both)

Dragonflies - For the first time this season, the dragons outnumbered the butterflies! This was largely due to the rewatering (by last week's rains), of the "Redmon" pond, a pond close to Bear Creek road that is in land newly acquired for the Gamelands. This pond is not easilly accessible. The dancers and spinyleg were seen on Sandy Mush creek.
