[EMAS] Beaver Lake Update- 4/6/12

Folks
A quick late evening walk around Beaver Lake produced the following:
Blue-winged Teal - flock now up to 24
American Coot -6
Pied-billed Grebe -2
Ring-necked Duck - 2 females
Green Heron -2
Greater Yellowlegs -1
Pectoral Sandpiper -1
Spotted Sandpiper -1
It looks like the sheer quantity of water that flowed down the creek last
night has burst the beaver dam closer to the boardwalk- it was certainly
rushing!
Thanks Tom for alerting us to the shorebirds.
Lake Julian had 5 Blue-winged Teal and 3 female Northern Shoveler
