I disconnected the ground wire to the case from the pin in the connector, and it doesn't lock up at all without it connected. Although the green light comes on at the specified speed. So, either something is sending a hot to the lockup besides the unit, or there is something grounding it internally to cause the lockup to come on when it's not in 4th gear. Now to open the pan and find out just what is in there, and how it's hooked up. or: I have a 3 pictures from when the trans was open. I don't know if it will shed any light or not. I am going to the service manuals from here to see what could be switching it internally.
