Hi John
The engine is a 331 overhead valve Cadiliac that first appeared in the 49 model. You could buy an Allard with a Lincoln, Olds, Hemi, or Buick V8. The factory would weld up the mounts and the US dealer would put the engine in the car. My engine puts out about 240 hp, and has tons of torque.
