cavalry does not count separately from the army, the % of total factors is
what counts from which we can remove whatever we want. So yes he can remove
3 GB infantry and 1 Swedish Cav, the proportions in terms of nationalities
are correct.
Now regarding pursuing after a battle, I don't remember we have discussed
it for how multinational armies and how it should be (part of the battle,
or something different) How do you want us to play it? Whatever we decide
will be so in the future.

Since when do we count cavalry separately from the main army?
For battle losses it is 32 factor total and total losses were 4 factors
(1 has to be cav).
So i pick 3 British and 1 Swedish loss, 3 British infantry and 1 Swedish
cavalry.
Pursuit comes after battle I was believe we pick our losses as we want
but I am too upset with myself to argue.

both casualties have to be British. You either say
In either case when you can 8 British and 2 Swedish cavalry , I see that
Amsterdam
2x8/10 = 1.6
Or if you want them separated it’s 1x8/10 & 1x7/10
For infantry I guess it’s 2 British, 1 Swedish.

Depends if you count losses in pursuit as part of losses in battle or
separately.
I don't know how this group plays but I have seen discussions and
arguments for both.
