Theo you have my full compassion.
Not beeing a rules expert i'm afraid that wasn't so simple to leaveva corps 
back. In that case you should have rolled for each corps seperatelly. What a 
mess!
Regarding mistakes, ask my allies how often they correct mine. Don't take it 
too hard. Think that this mistake helped Yannis to sleep yesterday!

The only mistake this time was the assumption that a garrison was present. It's 
a matter of actually seeing that nothing would be left behind when I made the 
decision to commit all corps, if I actually had the digital board in front of 
me. Also, nope; I didn't even took a glimpse of the board in the meantime. 
Watch my save and see for yourself which file is the last one loaded and when 
it was loaded. Guilty of being busy one might say...

Should factors be unable to attach outside your turn, then a corps would 
definitely remain behind. The fact that time passed between your turn and the 
resolution of the battle is rather irrelevant since I'm not asking to correct 
my turn but the decision to commit everything (which was made yesterday). The 
mistake was not made in regard to the garrison, but the commitment; I didn't 
make that clear enough.

Ever with a friendly attitude, especially since neither of the aspects of your 
strategy were unforeseen (wasn't surprised by anything but myself as a matter 
of fact...), not allowing me to reserve a corps will make the game less fun for 
me, for all the reasons I have already mentioned and especially since the whole 
reason of this mishap was my eagerness to help the game roll faster. If that 
wasn't my main concern, we'd still argue whether the Insurection corps could 
participate in the battle.

To sum things up: HELL, I wouldn't leave Wien ungarrisoned :P

Theo, we have all made mistakes in our turns and several of them were 
acknowledged and allowed to be restored. We recently added the pending tab in 
Trello in order to allow us to post issues that need to be resolved either due 
to actions through our turns or due to issues we forgot to post in our turn.
In this case however the decision to leave a garrison in Vienna was allowed on 
your turn, so you had all the time until we posted our turn in order to check 
if you forgot this action and post a pending “task” from your side.
Since the battle was in Austrian turn I do not believe that you were allowed to 
drop a garrison and reinforce with the remaining corps. You should leave one 
corps behind in order to secure the city. This decision had nothing to do with 
the timing we decided to roll the battle. If I am correct there were 2 days 
between the day I posted my turn and the time we resolved the battle so you had 
sufficient time to see the situation and decide your actions based on the 
scenarios that would occur.
My strategy for example included both the insurrection corps and the fact that 
I could possible lure you out of the city with your entire forces since Makis 
has already stated that he will join the battle.
Mistakes are part of the game, we will make many more in the future and we all 
have the approach to resolve these issues in a friendly manner. We challenge 
decisions, rules and we allow for corrections in most of the occasions.
But most of all, this game (as every game) is for fun! Don’t try to make it 
typical, read the rules 300 times, play your turn in a week etc!
Mistakes and die rolls are the spice of the game!!! 😉

Point of the round was to capture (and hold) Wien. Didn't intend to leave it 
ungarrisoned, thought there was a factor there. If I was in front of a computer 
yesterday, I'd see this and leave a factor behind as I headed for combat (by 
mentioning it I guess - since I couldn't send a turn file on the spot). In any 
case, for the sake of speeding things up, since we are not in front of a board, 
some unintentional mistakes like this are to be made especially considering we 
decided to use other means of communicating outside CB (e.g. phone/mail). And 
its not like the time the Austrian corps interrupted my turn. I also didn't 
mean for that to happen as well but that was caused by not being careful 
enough, not by a false knowledge of the situation...

Anyway, if you wish for the game to proceed at slower pace (me double checking 
everything, proceeding by the book) and let it be decided by the exploitation 
of involuntary slips, be my guest, Wien is uncontrolled.

Not much to discuss, Turkey intended to place 1 factor inside but never 
actually did it on CB, then reinforced with all his corps believing he had 
already done it. We play as things are in CB, so Vienna is free for ECO.
