ETS Research & Development has an opening for a Research Scientist (open
rank) in the Cognitive Science Research Group. We are recruiting a
cognitive scientist with expertise in the areas of learning analytics
(including educational data mining), adaptive learning environments, and /
or educational technology.
The Cognitive Science Research Group has 21 members who investigate,
develop, and apply cognitive science theories and methods to address
learning and assessment research questions. Our focus is on understanding
the cognition of learning to inform the design, implementation, and
evaluation of assessment innovations and technologies, including game-based
assessments, interactive simulations, and adaptive learning environments.
We conduct interdisciplinary assessment research from a variety of
perspectives within the cognitive sciences, spanning cognitive psychology,
computational cognitive modeling, education, computer science, educational
technology, and artificial intelligence.
