The University of Toronto Department of Computer Science has a faculty
opening for an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream. This is a unique
opportunity to join a vibrant group of twelve teaching-stream faculty. The
position is full-time, with pathways to promotion to Associate Professor,
Teaching Stream and Full Professor, Teaching Stream.
Teaching Stream faculty at U of Toronto are equivalent positions to
tenure-track or research focused faculty (the traditional position, like
the one I'm in), playing leadership roles in the department, and having no
teaching load during the summer. But the teaching load during the year is 3
courses per semester, and promotion is based on teaching & service (not
