Hi, I agree. 'extreme' work conditions for mobile machines means -40 deg in
Nordic winter forest to +40 deg in african or australian sand storm deserts ..
Under ground mining humanity is high and air ph can be very corrosive ....
This means mil standard embedded systems that can be a European oem strength,
however, these are HW requirements on reliability etc. in any case, extreme
work conditions should be explained same where in PO.

Cheers, -J

A quick comment on PO: The title of the project,

Embedded COntrol PlatfoRms for mobilE MachIneS in Extreme work
conditionS PlatformS

does not match very well the present contents:

"Typical characteristics of these machines are long lifetimes, high
specialization level and need for
customization, need to co-operate with humans, environment, and other
machines, high safety,
reliability, and availability requirements, and increasing level of
intelligence and automation. The
operation of such machines has high business value, and considerable
cost savings are possible
through optimization of the operation. "
