That's great news. I advise Gwen that you email Claire Tideswell and copy
the councillors to say something like, 'thank you for your call. I was
most reassured to hear that the curb stones have been taken away for repair
and will be returned together with additional curb stones to replace
damaged ones once they have been sourced, and that the concrete curb stones
are a temporary measure. I am also reassured to hear that the paving stones
have been taken away for safe keeping and will be returned.
As you know, I and the local community here expect the character of the
area to be preserved and the stone paving and curbs are essential to
achieving this. A photographic survey has been completed so we can monitor
the work.
Thanks again for your help and I look forward to seeing stone paving and
curbs in place soon. '
I don't think it's necessary to continue emailing councillors now, but hang
fire as Sally suggests.
