Great point raised Clare. We would very much support leaving the wild grasses
to grow and attract the bees and other pollinators.

Grass verges in Rotherham getting recognition for attracting bees, insects
and wildlife. My son looking at a bee on the recent sprayed verge on
Endcliffe Glen road, and then today with all the long grass cut. The dead
grass at the edges from spraying seems so unnecessary. We should be
attracting bees and wildlife not deterring it.
Could we consider asking the council not to spray in our area and instead
growing wildflowers along these verges next year?
I can't make meetings very often but is this something that could be
discussed?
