Very interested to read comments about the noise when I got home last night.
The park seems to have become a gathering place for quad bikers.
We saw some very dangerous riding down Rustling Rd pavement on a quad bike and
others were gathered at the entrance to the park at Rustlings rd. just before
7pm.
At 9pm I was passing again and this time the police were at the Rustlings Rd
gate and had it closed and made a lad leave his quad bike at the gate before
entering the park. I reported to them what I'd seen earlier and he talked about
how they were using their bodycams to record disruptive behaviour.
This morning there is a report in the Star which seems to deliberately
understate the problems in the park.
No mention of the quad bikes, no pictures of the overcrowding, the stabbing is
just 'fighting at the weekend'. The way the problems are listed makes it feel
they are trying to tread very carefully. Though they do say there have been
'multiple reports of incidents involving rowdy behaviour'.
I shall email the councillor to add my voice to the concerns and hope along
with the rest of the area that the police do take this on in a more upfront way.
