Hi all
My understanding is that 'Dmarc' is something that people who send email can
do. It needs to be paid for (after a free trial).
FreeLists.org does show email addresses when members post to ECCOtalk but the
addresses are incomplete. FreeLists does not enable us to redact email
addresses completely. But using Dmarc does, in effect.
The fact that someone managed to subscribe to ECCOtalk without my acceptance
was a one-off and it is unlikely to happen often. FreeLists have been
informed!

Subject: [eccotalk] Email addresses
Hello all
I notice that some members of this group have their email addresses
hidden with an explanation like
<dmarc-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> (Redacted sender "xxx" for DMARC)
As the list is visible to people who are not members (and can even
subscribe themselves to it) there is a possibility that all our email
addresses could be copied off and sold to a spammer/virus merchant.
Wouldn't it be a good idea if _all_ our email addresses were redacted?
Chris
