Interesting dilemma. That row of shops needs occupying. But late night noise
will always be an issue around Ecclesall Road.

The planning application appears to have been taken down - so all claer for now.
But I think we do need to be on our guard about the future of Jesters, with it
beingh so close to us.
Interestingly, talking to the staff at Jesters, it seems that about three years
ago Jesters was sold by the then owners to a national firm that supplies these
sorts of shop, but they were able to keep the name. The staff say that poor
buying decisions for stock started the shop on a downward spiral to the present
closure. Moral of the story - keep shops local so that they will work properly
in the local economy, supporting local jobs and spending and providing what
local people need.

Hi all
Jesters (the card shop next to Hunters Bar roundabout) has applied for Planning
Permission to become a Hot Food Takeaway. They are applying to be open from
12.00 to 2.00 on weekdays and Saturdays and 12.00 to 00.30 on Sundays. I am
not sure which hours nearby Takeaways open.
