I just wanted to talk about our bin situation. this was a couple of weeks
ago and I sent this email to Mike and Jan but they suggested I send to the
ecco talk mailing list..
We are having 'others' using our bins on a very regular basis and using the
wrong ones to make matters worse eg putting a full bin load of general
leaking waste into bottle bin twice over the weekend - they also fly tip on
top of our bins which is causing a potential vermin hazard. Today's load was
disposable barbecue stuff and food used at the barbecue - so we always know
it is not our waste.
We have had two phone calls recently complaining we empty our bottles during
the night and early morning - this is definitely not true as we would not
dare to wake our hotel guests and all our staff are trained to only empty
bottles mid morning or mid afternoon/early evening. Perhaps others are using
our bottle bins.
I just want the Ecco group to know we are being responsible neighbours but
also to be on the look out for others using our bins to deposit rubbish as
this can't continue due to environmental issues.
