We have a BBQ 'kit' for use in a brick-made structure - but it will work
on top of a wall, etc., so long as, of course, it is well supported. You
could easily make a temporary support out of a pallet.
It is about to be modified to enable us to have BBQs in the front of the
pizza oven, but until then is available for use.
