Thanks Ramen, I hadn’t thought of that. I mostly just use broadband for
watching Antiques Roadshow on iplayer, so probably won’t invest in a better
router, but good to know for if I ever need WiFi for home working :-)
Best wishes

Sorry, one final thought, and I'll shut up ... anyone having issues, are you
sure it is your broadband connection and not your Wifi? One way to check is to
plug directly into your broadband router with a network cable (they normally
come with one to help set it up), and see if that's more stable (that's ok if
your laptop/computer has a network port, but won't work with an iPad or
similar).
I've had endless problems with consumer wifi routers - so much so I've
installed a professional Wifi solution. Not cheap, but it's solid as a rock -
and means I can work from home without worrying.

I am yet again having intermittent drop out and slow speeds with my internet
connection.
I would be glad to know if anyone else has had problems recently. My ISP
provider says nothing can be done except to upgrade to a 'fibre to the cabinet'
connection, an extra £10 a month. Has anyone already got this and has it made a
difference?
Many thanks
