Thanks Moira. I would like to emphasize that there are no general rules. I'm
just saying what people should think about for their own sake!

Thanks for this, Mike, I think I may have transgressed the rules so will bear
this in mind. Apologies if everyone received an email from me last week.

Hi all
May I remind people, for their own sake, that sending an email to
eccotalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:eccotalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> means that your email
goes to 83 members of ECCOtalk. Sometimes you may not want that to happen but
it does!
The same thing tends to happen when you reply to an email from ECCOtalk. If the
'To' line on your reply says
eccotalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:eccotalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> then your email goes to
everyone.
If you only want your reply to go to the person who sent the email to ECCOtalk
then you need to pick out the sender's email address which you should find at
the top of their email. You can copy and paste it into the 'To' line of your
reply if you like.
Wishing you all a good Christmas!
Mike
