I'm afraid I totally agree with June and David, in that I have previously
enjoyed two Wolfe books but couldn't stand the pretentiousness of this one.
I gave up very quickly, being ever conscious of not getting to so many books
I know I will enjoy. I hope some people are enjoying it, and that those who
are persevering further than I did find that it gets better, but I found the
writing style an insurmountable hurdle. Clare
